Senior Business Development Manager – Petrochemicals (Cosmetics, Personal Care, Pharma & Perfume)

Minimum 15 years in petrochemical raw materials sales and business development within GCC markets
Role Summary:
An accomplished and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the petrochemical manufacturing and trading sector, specializing in raw materials for cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, and perfumery industries. The role demands strong commercial acumen, deep market knowledge of GCC customers (Tier 1, 2, and 3), and proven expertise in managing full P&L responsibility while driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead business development and sales strategy across Saudi Arabia, UAE, and wider GCC markets.
Manage full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, ensuring revenue growth and margin optimization.
Drive sales of petrochemical raw materials used in:
Cosmetics
Personal Care
Pharmaceuticals
Perfume & Fragrance Manufacturing
Develop and expand relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 customers, distributors, and manufacturers.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market segments, and product applications.
Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract management.
Provide technical-commercial expertise on key raw materials including:
Ethanol (key market driver)
Surfactants
Amines
Polymers
Specialty chemicals and additives
Monitor GCC market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and technical teams to ensure efficient product delivery.
Maintain strong customer engagement to enhance retention and long-term partnerships.
Market & Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of GCC petrochemical and specialty chemical landscape
In-depth knowledge of raw materials used in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, and fragrance formulations
Expertise in ethanol market dynamics, pricing, and supply chain factors
Well-established network with regional market players and key decision-makers
Qualifications:
MBA in International Marketing (mandatory)
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong client relationship management and negotiation capabilities
High level of commercial and financial acumen (P&L ownership)
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and sales analytics tools
Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform under pressure
Strong communication and presentation skills
Additional Requirements:
Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory)
Willingness to travel extensively across GCC countries
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
