Business Development Manager - Construction Recruitment (GCC Focus) Location: GCC Job Type: Permanent A Business Development Manager is required to work for a leading GCC-based technical recruitment company. This is an excellent opportunity based in the GCC to join an established recruitment business, whilst being rewarded with a competitive package and excellent career development opportunities. Responsibilities The successful candidate will work as a Business Development Manager performing various tasks, including: • Lead business development activities across the GCC within the white-collar construction recruitment space • Utilise existing relationships with main contractors, developers, project management consultancies and engineering firms to secure new business • Work with internal recruitment and delivery teams to ensure the successful fulfilment of client requirements • Build and manage a pipeline of key accounts, with responsibility for growth and long-term client relationships • Keep up to date with regional construction projects, market activity and client hiring needs • Represent VHR at industry events and client meetings across the region • Support leadership with input on market trends Mandatory Requirements • Proven experience in construction recruitment business development, with a focus on white-collar roles • Established network of decision-makers within the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman or wider GCC construction industry • Strong understanding of the regional construction market, including current and upcoming projects • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage key accounts effectively • Excellent communication, negotiation and client-facing skills • Highly organised, commercially astute and able to work autonomously or as part of a team • Previous recruitment agency experience is essential Desirable Requirements • Experience working across multiple GCC markets • Existing relationships with main contractors, developers, project management consultancies and engineering firms • Experience attending industry events and representing a business in client-facing environments • Knowledge of white-collar construction, engineering and infrastructure recruitment Additional Information • Start date: ASAP • Competitive salary • An attractive salary and bonus scheme is available • Career development and financial support for professional development qualifications • Private health care • Staff trips abroad • VHR is a multi-award-winning technical recruitment business, headquartered in London, supplying contract and permanent technical and professional staff to clients within the Aerospace & Aviation, F1 & Automotive, Civils & Infrastructure and Marine sectors • VHR currently employs 65 members of staff across its 8 offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Bologna, Prague, Leipzig and Nicosia, and generates a turnover of over £40M annually • The Company’s medium-term aims are to grow to 90+ staff and £85M annual turnover
