Job Summary The ITS Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and delivering Intelligent traffic Systems (ITS) projects, including traffic management systems, ATMS, ramp metering, adaptive traffic control, CCTV, VMS, fiber optic networks, communication systems.
The role includes project execution, client coordination, subcontractor management, technical supervision, budget control, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage ITS projects from initiation to final handover.
Prepare project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and execution strategies.
Monitor project progress, risks, budgets, and deliverables.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Technical Coordination
Coordinate design, engineering, procurement, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and method statements.
Supervise system integration between field devices and central platforms.
Coordinate with suppliers and technology partners.
Stakeholder Management
Interface with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.
Conduct project meetings and prepare progress reports.
Support client presentations and technical discussions.
Site & Construction Management
Supervise site execution and installation activities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Resolve technical and operational issues during implementation.
Testing & Commissioning
Oversee FAT, SAT, integration testing, and system acceptance activities.
Ensure all project documentation and as-built drawings are completed.
Commercial & Contract Management
Monitor project costs and variation orders.
Support procurement and subcontract management.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
PMP certification is preferred.
ITS-related certifications are an advantage.
Experience Requirements
7–15 years of experience in ITS, traffic, or transportation projects.
Experience managing large-scale ITS infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with international standards and specifications.
