Job title : Operations Project Manager
The Projects Manager facilitates and manages all small, large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception through to completion. The role holder will manage and control the capital investment programme and is responsible for the delivery of all projects and activities.
Responsibilities :
Works with the Technical Operations Director to develop medium and long-term strategic plans of the Department in line with the Museums Abu Dhabi’s vision, mission and strategic goals
Establishes departmental goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programmes in alignment with the Sector’s strategic vision, mission and goals
Establishes departmental plans which project funding, feasibility, manpower, and time constraints of the department ensuring the availability of required resources to carry out all the tasks related to the facilities and maintenance needs of the museum Manages the delivery of all projects from inception, feasibility through to construction, completion and post project evaluation in order that it is delivered to the agreed specification, on time and within approved budget Prepares reports on all financial and non-financial aspects of projects for the Technical Operations Director Identifies and proposes technical solutions to solve project management and project delivery issues Coordinates relationships with contractors, consultants and monitors approved budgets Resolves technical, commercial and budget or costing issues typically associated with the delivery of capital projects Manages Terrier activities arising from projects in conjunction with internal and external agents Develops sustainable Governance arrangements for the delivery of projects and their specific day to day management Supports the co-ordination and planning of all statutory and backlog maintenance investment programs and leads their delivery Identifies and controls the deliverables of each project and ensures that are achieved in line with financial and non-financial expectations at all stages from inception through feasibility to completion Provides performance management, career development guidance, and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for direct reports, and ensures the development of all employees within the Department (in coordination with the Human Resources Department)
Ensures operational excellence in achieving KPI’s, working towards establishing a sustainable financial model by achieving any set financial targets and driving internal process improvement and efficiency
As a brand ambassador the role holder will consider the customer prospective in all projects - working to understand and manage all stakeholders
As a leader the role holder will create learning opportunities by collaboration, transfer of knowledge, or developing employees in respective area, that drive employee engagement and growth across the Museum
Preferred Local Experience Requirements
6-8 years of post graduate experience in technical projects management for a large public space or medium to large organization 2-3 years of experience in a management role which included leading & managing people Fluency in Arabic, English
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Preferred Education Requirements
Master's (in above) Project Management Certification
