Job Description
Job Title: Frontend Lead - E-commerce CMS Location: San Francisco, CA or Frisco, TX (Onsite) About the Role We are looking for a Frontend Lead - E-commerce CMS to lead the design, development, and optimization of our headless CMS platform powering large-scale e-commerce experiences. This role will focus heavily on Amplience Dynamic Content and Dynamic Media, frontend integrations, and performance at scale, while collaborating closely with product, backend, and DevOps teams. Key Responsibilities: • Lead frontend CMS architecture and implementation using Amplience Dynamic Content and Dynamic Media • Design and manage content models, workflows, and reusable components for a headless CMS ecosystem • Build and maintain custom integrations using JavaScript and Node.js • Integrate CMS with frontend applications and backend services using REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks • Collaborate with frontend teams working in React, TypeScript, and Node.js • Troubleshoot and resolve CMS-related issues in production environments • Drive performance tuning, scalability, and reliability of CMS-driven applications • Monitor system health and performance using Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana • Partner with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, infrastructure, and deployments • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership and best practices • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional planning Required Qualifications: • Strong hands-on experience with Amplience CMS (Dynamic Content & Dynamic Media) or similar enterprise e-commerce CMS platforms • Deep understanding of headless CMS architecture • Solid experience with JavaScript and Node.js • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks • Experience supporting and debugging production-scale CMS systems • Familiarity with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, or Spanner • Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with AWS or Azure in addition to GCP • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, Spinnaker, Jenkins, or GitLab CI • Background in high-traffic e-commerce platforms • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills Tech Stack: • CMS: Amplience Dynamic Content & Dynamic Media • Languages: JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript • Frontend: React, Node.js • APIs: REST, GraphQL • Databases: PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, Spanner • Monitoring: Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (primary), AWS, Azure • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), Helm • CI/CD & DevOps: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Terraform • Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, Maven/Gradle • Methodology: Agile / Scrum
